A couple of words about the project
The project Lesnóy Tánets (Russian for The Forest Dance) has no exact date of birth, though the very idea to abolish using the computers for musicmaking appeared in my head in the year 2005. There were two reasons for this: the first was the criticism of electronica from the lovers of folk and metal music, and the second was my own wish to move to a more natural, warm and live sound I really longed for for my recordings. The major problem was that besides acoustic guitar and a soprano recorder, which I played a bit, I couldn't play any real instruments at all, though knew how to compose rather complex orchestral music. I thought to myself: since I have time, I can learn and try. First there were keyboards and a khomus (Siberian jews harp), then there were other more exotic Siberian and Slavonic instruments (shamanic drums, ocarinas, dvoyanka, duduk, Romanian kaval, etc.) as well as the classical ones (clarinet, classical guitar, Neapolitan mandolin plus various kinds of percussion), so in the following years I learned to play them all to a certain degree, bought rather cheap recording equipment and the software, and constantly recorded demos and "release candidates", not to mention hundreds of sketches recorded with a voice recorder. Dozens of different ambience sounds were also recorded in the forest as well as in the other interesting places, in a hope to use them to increase the atmospherics of the songs. Lesnoy Tanets is a rather slowly evolving, independent one-man project, where I do everything by myself: play, record, mix and master. There are from 10 to 30 instruments used on every recording, some of them I play rather well, the others not as good, so I think there will never be any live shows of Lesnoy Tanets, though there certainly will be the CD's and the spirit of Elel' inside. I can not tell a certain date when the first album will be released, since musicmaking is not my job. All I can wish for now is for the Magic of Elel' to fill away my and your souls!

Пара слов о проекте
Проект "Лесной танец" не имеет определённой даты возникновения, однако сама идея отказаться от использования компьютеров для создания музыки возникла у меня в 2005 г. На то были две причины: первой стала критика "электронщины" от любителей фолк- и метал-музыки, которых я знал, второй было моё собственное желание перейти к более естественному, тёплому и живому звуку, который я очень хотел иметь в своих записях. Основной проблемой стало то, что помимо акустической гитары и блок-флейты сопрано, на которых я немножко играл, я не умел играть ни на каких инструментах, однако умел сочинять довольно сложную оркестровую музыку. Я подумал: раз у меня есть время, я могу учится и пробовать. Сначала были клавишы и комус (сибирский варган), потом другие, более экзотические сибирские и славянские инструметы (шаманские бубны, двоянка, дудук, румынский кавал и др.), также как и классические: кларнет, классическая гитара, неаполитанская мандолина, плюс разнообразная перкуссия. В последующие годы я в различной степени научился играть на них всех, закупил несложное, но по возможности качественное звукозаписывающее оборудование и программное обеспечение, и постоянно записывал демки и "кандидаты на релиз", не говоря уже о сотнях "почеркушек", записанных на диктофон. Были также записаны десятки различных фоновых шумов-эмбиенсов, в надежде использовать их где-нибудь для усиления атмосферности музыки. "Лесной танец" - это довольно медленно развивающийся, независимый проект одного человека, в котором я делаю всё сам: играю, записываю, свожу и делаю мастеринг. В каждом треке используется от 10 до 30 инструментов, на некоторых из них я играю довольно хорошо, на других не очень, поэтому я думаю, что живых выступлений "Лесного танца" не будет, однако определённо будут диски и дух земли Элэль внутри них. Я не могу назвать точную дату, когда выйдет первый альбом, ведь я же не работаю музыкантом. Всё, что я пока могу пожелать, это чтобы магия Элэля наполнила мою и Вашу души!
